The customization shop sits by the spawn and dealership. Park on the lift and open the custom menu. Performance is five systems: engine, forced induction, brakes, tires, and gearing. Paint, materials, and a free underglow color sit in the same shop. Materials named for the body are plain, glossy, metallic, matte, chrome, and carbon fiber.

Cash stages versus the pass

You can buy Stage 3 immediately. You do not have to own Stage 1 or Stage 2 first. Downgrading is allowed, and buying the higher stage again costs the fee again.

Path What you get Cost
Stage 3 Engine, forced induction, and brakes, plus Very Long gearing Cash only
Stage 4 pass Stage 4 engine, turbo, supercharger, brakes, Drag Tires, Super Long gearing 199 Robux, then cash to install
Extra Customization Free suspension edits, extra plates, advanced underglow styles 299 Robux

Tire names in the shop run Stock, Sport, Race, Drag, and Drift. Drag Tires are on the Stage 4 pass. Drift tires are the sideways compound and do not require that pass.

A practical Stage 3 order

  1. Stage 3 engine.
  2. Stage 3 turbo and Stage 3 supercharger.
  3. Gearing set to Very Long.
  4. Stage 3 brakes before you rely on the exit ramp at higher speed.
  5. Race tires for a stable highway line, or Drift tires if the car is a rear-drive slide build.

On the Competitor GT, that Stage 3 plus Very Long package is the reported jump from 219 mph to 245 mph.

Settings that match a tuned car

  • Field of view 100 is the setting guides use so the cockpit still shows the wheel and the lane edges.
  • Traffic collisions off is the 0.7x grind toggle. Leave it on if you are practicing real cuts for the cut badges.
  • Traction control (T / LSB) and ABS (Y) stay on for a tight traffic line. Turn traction control off before a clutch kick.

Suspension edits need the Extra Customization pass if you want them free. A reported Tuatara speed setup used front ride height 0.14 and rear -0.3 for about 380 mph, then front 0.35 with more rear squat for about 383 to 385 mph. That car is a limited that guides say has left the shop, so the numbers only help if you already own it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much cash do you start with?

A new profile starts with 40,000 Cash. That is enough for an entry car such as the Marker Hyperbird at 13,675 Cash. The Beam C2 is listed at 145,000 Cash, so it needs codes or a few highway runs first. Joining the developer group also unlocks the Adar DC16 Wagon from the Group tab without spending that starter cash.

What is a cut in Highway Legends?

A cut is a close pass through highway traffic. The official badges award 1,000 cuts, 5,000 cuts, and 10,000 cuts. Cash and XP also rise while you keep speed and pass civilian cars. Crashing ends the run, unless you have turned traffic collisions off.

Should traffic collisions be on?

Open Settings and turn traffic collisions off before a grind run. Guides describe that toggle as a 0.7x cash rate in exchange for driving through traffic without a wreck. Leave collisions on when you want the normal cut risk and the full rate.

How do you unlock Stage 4 tuning?

Stage 1 through Stage 3 engine, forced induction, brakes, and Very Long gearing are bought with cash, and you can skip straight to Stage 3. Stage 4 engine, turbo, supercharger, brakes, Drag Tires, and Super Long gearing require the Stage 4 Tuning Access pass, which is 199 Robux on the official pass list. The pass unlocks the parts. You still pay the in-game install cost.

Does a vehicle pass give the car for free?

Vehicle passes do not gift the cars. Tuner Vehicle Pass (249 Robux), Track Vehicle Pass (349 Robux), and Hyper Vehicle Pass (399 Robux) only open those dealership tabs. You still pay the car's cash price. VIP Pass (399 Robux) opens VIP cars and adds a chat tag, a group rank, and a server role after you join the listed community.
